The Applied Education Department offers elective courses in the areas of Business and Marketing, Family and Consumer Science, and Technology Education. Sequential courses, aligned with the Career Clusters identified by the State Department of Education, are offered for students interested in pursuing specific career goals. Each course has an established curriculum which focuses on knowledge and application of skills. The Applied Education Department offers a Tech Prep Program in coordination with Naugatuck Valley Community College (NVCC). Students who successfully complete a defined Tech Prep course or sequence of courses may earn college credit through NVCC. For more information on these and other programs contact the School Counseling Department. |
